The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) are the heart of this business. They are an integral part of the Careworthy family. Our caregivers are responsible for providing care, support and companionship for our clients so that they can continue to thrive and live independently in their home and age in place. Our caregivers truly care about their clients and are committed to providing the highest quality care. They understand that caregiving is not like any other job. This is a calling and a ministry. Our caregivers truly stand in the gap and provide care and compassion to clients, while ensuring that all their needs are met.
Caregiver duties may include the following

Assists the client with personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming

Meal planning, meal prep and cooking hot meals

Light housekeeping, including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning the bathroom

Taking out the trash

Doing the laundry & putting away clothes

Changing the bed linen
-
Transporting client to run errands
-
Identifying any client needs and reporting it to the Care Coordinator

Giving medication reminders
-
Doctor's appointment reminders
-
Observing the client's overall health and wellness
-
Following the client's personalized care plan
-
Documenting all tasks completed and observations in client notes
-
Reporting any unusual circumstances or safety hazards
-
Completing and submitting incident reports per company policy

Reporting any suspicion of abuse or negligence, including physical abuse, psychological abuse or financial abuse
-
Other duties as necessary
