Personal Care Assistant (Caregiver)

 

Compensation: $13-$17 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN

Location: Varies

 

Careworthy Home Care is looking for Caregivers to fill immediate job openings in the Indianapolis, Brownsburg, Avon, Clermont, Lebanon, Greenfield, and Franklin areas.

Essential Functions

 

  • Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

​

  • Provides assistance with activities of daily living including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

​

  • Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions. May shop for groceries.

​

  • Provides companionship for the client. This includes accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, running errands, etc.

​

  • Medication reminders

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

  • Pass a background check and BMV screening

  • TB test results taken in the last 9 months

  • At least one year of verifiable experience is preferred

  • Successfully complete required training and credentialing

  • Successfully complete new hire onboarding & orientation
